Our standards

Everything on DailyAmen is offered for prayer, so it has to be faithful, accurate and worth your time. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

How we create

Every prayer and reflection begins with the day itself: the Church's calendar, the readings, the saint, and the things people carry into prayer. We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. From there, each piece is shaped, checked against its sources, and approved by the DailyAmen Editorial Board before it is published. Nothing reaches you without that approval.

The members of the Editorial Board will be named here before launch.

What we will never do

• Call a reflection a homily. The homily belongs to the Mass and to the ordained.
• Present anyone, human or otherwise, as a priest, a saint or a spiritual director they are not.
• Put words in anyone's mouth. Every quotation from a saint, a pope or Scripture must match a source we hold.

Our sources

• The calendar follows the liturgical calendar of the Church in the United States.
• The readings link to USCCB.org, home of the official text.
• Traditional prayers keep their established wording and are credited to their source.
• Art on our cards is in the public domain, credited to the artist and year.
• Divine Mercy prayers are our own, written on the nine traditional intentions of the novena.

How the ministry is funded

DailyAmen is free, and it is sustained by the gifts of the people who pray with us. No gift buys a say in what we publish. There are no ads.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, whether a date, a quotation or a point of teaching, please tell us at hello@dailyamen.com. We correct errors quickly and note the correction on the page.
